Here’s how Elon Musk reacted to the Binance hack

Elon Musk’s initial reaction to the massive $6. 3 billion Binance hack that took place on Thursday, October 29, was a stark warning about the need for constant vigilance when it comes to cybersecurity. Specifically, the CEO of Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) and SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX) published an X post simply stating that ‘Everyday is Zeroday.
’ Everyday is Zeroday — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 29, 2026 In cybersecurity, a zero-day refers to a previously unknown firmware, hardware, or software vulnerability that can be used by attackers. It is known as such since developers have zero days to address the issue before it gets exploited. Musk’s remark appears to have been justified since the hackers were allegedly able to inject malicious code that was tested earlier on the same day as the attack itself, enabling them to take control of Binance’s hot wallets, per a TRM analysis conveyed by Finbold on October 30.
Elon Musk ‘trolls’ CZ over the Binance hack Elsewhere, not all of Elon Musk’s remarks have been as restrained as his initial reaction. For example, he took to laughing at a different X user comparing Binance’s claims that user funds are safe to similar reassurances issued by Sam Bankman-Fried during the collapse of FTX. The founder of the robbed cryptocurrency exchange, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), seemingly didn’t take kindly to the ‘trolling’ alluding to the possibility that the firm’s stake in SpaceX might be used to help cover the losses.
CZ, however, later walked back on the proposal, claiming he intended the remark to show Binance has sufficient funds to weather the storm rather than hint at a SPCX stock sale. Why Elon Musk’s warning must be taken seriously Lastly, the previous 2026 trends in digital asset hacking and the October 29 incident indicate that Elon Musk’s warning should be taken very seriously. Cryptocurrency theft accelerated in the third quarter (Q3) to $1.
17 billion – up nearly $200 billion from the Q1 and Q2 total – and the Binance attack alone is 180% bigger than the total for the first nine months of 2026.! function(e,n,i,s){var d=”InfogramEmbeds”;var o=e. getElementsByTagName(n)[0];if(window[d]&&window[d].

Simultaneously, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the existing and expected breakthroughs in quantum computing could further exacerbate the issues, with some estimates predicting that Bitcoin (BTC) could reach its ‘doomsday’ as soon as March 2028.
