Finance Strategist Says XRP and XLM Could Benefit from This News

The 20 wealthiest countries on earth have handed the global banking system a firm deadline. By 2027, the G20 wants 75% of all international payments settled in under one hour, with fees cut to 1% or less. For most of the world’s banks, that target is a serious problem.
Traditional bank wires still take days to process. Middleman banks, currency swaps, and weekend cutoffs all slow the system down. Financial expert Levi laid out exactly why legacy infrastructure struggles to clear even the one-hour bar.
“99% of banks today cannot do it”, he tweeted. $XRP & $XLM COULD BENEFIT FROM THIS!! — Levi | Crypto Crusaders (@LeviCryptoGuy) October 25, 2026 Why XRP and XLM Fit the G20 Requirements While traditional banks race to find solutions, XRP and XLM already operate well within the G20’s targets.
Both assets settle cross-border payments in three to five seconds at a cost of fractions of a penny. That settlement happens 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with no weekend cutoffs and no middlemen. Levi put it plainly: XRP and XLM are sitting “in the ultimate sweet spot.
” A Path to Bank Adoption Levi walked through how major banks could use the XRP ecosystem to meet the G20’s requirements. Banks could settle transactions through XRP infrastructure and charge a fee “well below 1% of the total transaction volume” — satisfying regulators while protecting their margins. The settlement speed alone clears the G20’s one-hour threshold many times over, compressing what currently takes days into a matter of seconds.
Levi noted that this model lets banks hit regulatory goals, improve customer service, and generate stronger profits simultaneously. “To me, this is an absolute no brainer,” he said. A Broader Shift May Be Coming Levi expressed confidence that bank adoption of these assets is not a question of if, but when.
He said it is “just a matter of time before XRP, XLM, and a few other select cryptocurrencies will be integrated into the banking system. ” The G20 deadline gives that timeline a concrete anchor. Banks now have a specific performance target to meet and a specific date by which to meet it.
XRP and XLM’s existing infrastructure already clears both bars. Whether major institutions move quickly enough to meet the 2027 deadline remains to be seen. But Levi’s case is straightforward: the technology exists, the regulatory pressure is real, and the assets built for this use case are already live.
